metaDurable is committed to sustainable development not only in that its supports projects but also in that it takes every possible steps to minimize its own ecological footprint. The association reduces its carbon emissions by systematically promoting sustainable mobility, promoting the recycling of used equipment, limiting its energy needs. Every action, every step is systematically evaluated.

When selecting its suppliers metaDurable thouroughly considers the sustainability criteria. We provide you with our selection below. This way, you get the same information we have received and you in turn can contribute in promoting businesses and products that are consistent with the principles that we support.

metaDurable adopts an ecological model similar to the economic model where traditional financial parameters such as OPEX, CAPEX and ROI are replaced by environmental parameters such as TECO₂, Gray Energy, ROGP taking all phases of the lifecycle of materials and objects into account: extraction of raw materials, manufacturing, usage and recycling.

You will find here the list of products that we use and of suppliers that we have selected for their "sustainable value" or their commitment to one or more areas of sustainable development.

• Telephony:

  We have selected Swisscom. This is really a choice by default since no mobile oprerator seem really advanced on sustainable development. Swisscom has the most advanced program at the time we are choosing the subscriptions for the association.

• Internet hosting:

  We have selected Recycled CLoud®, a local (Swiss) cloud provider powered by renewable energy, with natural cooling for their servers which are all recycled.

• Print shop:

  We have choosen a local company, envrionmentally friendly inks and recycled paper bleached without chlorine. Our partner is BSR Imprimeurs.

• Bank:

  The Alternative Bank is the one that caught our attention. This bank has a philosophy and environmental ethics really very much in line with our approach. ABS is also a source of inspiration and an example that metaDurable tries to follow.
